Help get Georgie back to Nursing.

Hi, I'm Georgie. Some of you know me online as Nursey.

Due to health and my life circumstances at the time, I sadly had to leave Nursing. Since leaving the nursing register in 2018, a lot has changed in my life, most for the best. I now live in Norway with my wonderful partner. I am currently in a position with my health to return to Nursing, which I also have to do to stay in Norway with Noah and my cats. Sadly there is no funding available for me to do this off my own back. To practice as a Nurse in Norway, I first need to rejoin the nursing register in the UK. Rejoining the register in the UK requires me to take a series of tests or the "Test of Competences". Thanks to my incredible online community on Twitch, I took Part One of the exams in September 2022, passing them with flying colours.

The next part of the process is to take the OSCE exams back in the UK. Once completed, I can rejoin the register and practice as a nurse again. Nothing is free, however. To take the OCSE's, I need to pay the £794 fee to the NMC, followed by the annual £120 registration fee. With the fees of the OSCE's, the rejoining fee and travel expenses to consider, it was suggested by several members of my online community that I set up a GoFundMe alongside streaming goals. Thanks to the slow processing of the UDI with Residency Permits, and the knock-on effects of Brexit, working to fund this in Norway has been made next to impossible.

Being able to hit the goal set, taking the final exams and rejoining the register would allow me to finally live happily Nursing in Norway with Noah and our cats, Ozzy & Cosima, by our side. Thank you for taking the time to read my story :)
