Help keep Hope Squad’s ambulance on the road!
Donation protected
Hope Squad Maine has served hundreds, if not thousands, of our unhoused friends over the past 2 years in Portland, Maine. We utilize an ambulance (squad) for our volunteer-run weekly outreach efforts and it has been highly effective in demonstrating our deep compassion for our unhoused neighbors.
We now need your help to keep the Hope Squad on the road! If you have been following us, you know the squad failed inspection due to body work that needs to be done (rust-related). We are seeking funds to assist us in paying for the needed repairs so we can continue to use the ambulance.
The squad is our unique way of reaching each person EXACTLY where they are, and it has so much storage as well as room for folks to stay warm, talk in privacy, and connect with needed resources. It has become recognizable and is something our friends look forward to seeing predictably each and every week, so it’s absence has been felt.
We feel strongly that the squad is central to our mission to love and serve with a compassionate presence out on the streets.
Please consider supporting our efforts! Every little bit helps!
