Help Jaymee with her Artery Bypass Surgery
Donation protected
If you are lucky enough to know Jaymee, you will know that she is one of the most compassionate and generous people you will ever know, with her infectious personality she leaves her mark on everything and everyone she meets.
In September 2022 Jaymee completed a 12km walk for the fight against suicide although this was slow and painful this was the last walk Jaymee would be able to do and now unable to walk more than 100m without rest. In November 2022 Jaymee was diagnosed with Bilateral Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome, PAES is a rare and limb-threatening vascular disease where the arteries are blocked restricting the blood where it needs to go. Jaymee is due to have the first surgery, an Artery Bypass and decompression, gastrocnemius muscle reconstruction to restore blood flow in about 2 weeks at Royal North Shore Hospital on her right leg and her left leg completed in a few months.
As a single Mum and carer to her son and living on her own the financial, physical and mental burden has been significant. We are raising funds to help Jaymee with her surgery fees (upward of $20,000) as her medical expenses have already exceeded $10,000 in the last 10 months with over 30 specialist appointments Vascular studies, Tests and scans most of which are in Sydney. Every donation will make a significant impact on Jaymee's journey towards recovery and restore hope and strength and remind her that she is not alone in this fight.
