Help get Logan to DC for a Leadership Program

Hi! We are Sam and Chris, and we are raising funds to help get our kiddo, Logan, to Washington DC to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C.

Logan was nominated for this leadership program by one of his teachers for demonstrating academic achievement and leadership qualities not only in class and at school but also within our community. He will be representing BT (his school) and Omaha!

If you know Logan, you know that he loves to help and support everyone in any way that he can. He is kind and empathetic, encouraging of others, the first kid to volunteer to help out, even picking up trash around campus/community and always willing to try. As a 6th grader, he is brave, not afraid to ask questions. He was thrilled and very proud to have been nominated!

We are so incredibly proud of his hard work and would love to be able to help facilitate this experience for him. $4,850 covers flights to and from, room and board, and the fee for the program this summer; it’s an intensive 7-day long program where he will be able to bring actionable plans back to Omaha and our communities. The program continues for the following year supporting his plan of action and providing support as he works to make actionable changes as a leader.

His focus is STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) based earth preservation and recycling. He is most excited about the opportunity to participate in the Voice of Change project where he will work with other students from all over the US, former members of Congress and experts from across the globe to create a plan of action to bring home and initiate. He is also curious about the Civic Immersion experience where he will learn about and focus on the responsibilities of public service and community leadership.
