Help get Lora back on the softball field

Donation protected
Lora had a medical emergency on March 30th. At first, she thought it was related to her diabetes. As the hours went by, and she was not getting better, she decided it was time to seek medical assistance. Lora was taken to a hospital in Tacoma and diagnosed with an Ischemic stroke. Essentially, Lora had a blood clot stuck in her brain.

Lora lost the use of her left side. BUT ... if you know Lora, you know she is not a quitter. After 5 days in the hospital, she was transferred to a rehab center in Tacoma. Lora is expected to stay at the center until the end of April. The goal is to have her walk out of there on her own two feet.

Lora makes small improvements every day!! We are all very proud of her hard work to get better and back home. She is attacking PT and OT with an awesome attitude.

Nobody expects to have to face a stroke in their 30's. I created this fundraiser to help Lora and her family with this terrible event. Lora's sister, Amanda, has been by Lora's side throughout this entire ordeal. She has stepped up to be an incredible advocate for Lora. She has taken several days off of work to be with Lora. Shelley was a rock when Lora needed it most and got her the help she needed. Shelley is a loved presence at Granny's Attic and is also missing work to help Lora.

Lora's only source of income is her doggy daycare business which will be put on hold for quite some time. I want our amazing community to show Lora the love and support she gives to people every day. Lora ALWAYS gives a helping hand. I don't think she says no to any request for help. She is a fantastic friend, amazing auntie, thoughtful daughter and so much more. PLEASE help Lora get back on the softball field. Back to training guide dogs. Back to her life as an independent, strong, sassy person.
