Help Get Lyndsey A Wheelchair
Donation protected
My name is Lyndsey. Three years ago I was diagnosed with POTS, a condition affecting my heart, blood and every aspect of my life.
Overtime, its gotten progressively worse, as have my joints. I am currently struggling to find answers for all of my other health problems, and this campaign is something I had to do all on my own. For the past six months, I have been using a cane (pictured), but since my condition is highly related to standing and orthostatic problems, I'm finding it to not always be enough to rely on. I currently live in Florida, and am very heat intolerant due to the POTS. However, the warmth is good for my chronic pain. Having a wheelchair would mean freedom to go out and have a better quality of life -- without fear of a flare up.
A huge goal of mine is to be able to go to school to be an esthetician. Since being diagnosed, I haven't been able to work, and having a wheelchair will give me the mobility I need to do find a job, go to school, and reach my goals. It's taken a lot of research and time finding what I want, need and what will be best long-term. The wheelchair I will buy with the money I raise is the "Quickie GP" by Sunrise Medical. This is the best option for me as it can be completely customized to fit exactly what I need, and help me in all situations and conditions.
If you wish to donate outside of GoFundMe, please contact me. Other ways that help me are through SHARING, purchasing from my small business , or donating to my . Thank you to everyone in advance, anything and everything helps.
Bless you all ❤️ "Mobility aids are freedom." #TheFutureIsAccessible
