Help Get Lynea Back On Her Feet!

If you know Lynea, then you know that asking for help is one of the hardest things she has ever had to do. Mother of everyone (including her six children), Lynea knows how to care for others, take in lost souls, provide for those who have been left behind or are down on their luck. Right now, Lynea is down on her luck. Before the death of her daughter-in-law, she was raising three kids under 18, while experiencing the trauma of having her two sons fall victim to the school-to-prison pipeline. When her son’s soulmate, the mother of her grandchildren, died unexpectedly last month, she took on the role of raising her two young grandsons. When it rains, it pours. This beautiful family is emotionally, spiritually, and financially drained. Already behind on rent, the family vehicle is in desperate need of repair, and they will need to move into a larger apartment that can accommodate their growing family. It goes without saying that saving for these large expenditures is difficult when not in the midst of an earthshaking family crisis.
Everyone who knows Lynea has been taken care of by Lynea in one way or another—whether it is a place to sleep, a meal, a sympathetic ear, or some inspirational advice you didn’t even know you needed, Lynea has had your back. I am pleading with anyone reading this to help me have Lynea’s back right now.
Getting by in today’s world is hard enough without loss, grief, and personal hardship. No matter how hard you work, how good you try to be, there is virtually no safety net, and there is just no room for unexpected misfortune. The rising cost of rent, food, gas, and virtually all necessities is hitting everyone right now, but this is especially trying for single parents. Taking on two additional children, both traumatized by loss, has compounded this struggle. While many of us cannot help this family emotionally or spiritually, we can help them financially. Every little bit matters.
Right now, Lynea needs help with the following expenses: Getting caught up on rent, repairing the family vehicle, putting a down payment on a larger apartment, childcare, recouping lost wages from a reduced work schedule as she adjusts to the needs of her grandkids (therapy, support, school change, etc.), and all the other little things it takes to get back on your feet when you’ve been taken down by tragedy. Let’s come together and help this family heal financially so that they can begin to focus on the emotional and spiritual healing they desperately need.
