Help get Mick Barry back into the Dáil - Donate today

Donation protected
Standing fpr re-election in the constituency of Cork North Central, Mick needs your urgent help today to get returned to the Dáil. A lifelong campaigner for workers and communities, Mick has been an exemplary working class representative, putting it up to the political establishment in every way possible, and using every means at his disposal to advance the interests of working class people and the oppressed.

Mick will have the best platform to continue to do so, if re-elected as a TD. This is needed more than ever, with the housing crisis at its worst point in the history of the state; with the rise of the far-right trying to divide our communities and the increased misogyny and racism; and with a political establishment that doesn’t care one iota for the children with additional needs that have no school places nor the young people forced to emigrate, as long as the developers and corporate interests are catered to.

Why donate today to elect Mick:

  • Mick has rightly earned the reputation of being a workers' voice inside and outside the Dáil. Mick was critical in standing with the Debenhams workers and so many workers in all sectors over many decades.
  • Mick will continue to be a voice for Palestinian freedom and against the Israeli state genocide.
  • Alongside Councillor Brian McCarthy, Mick has organised meetings and protests against the scandal of Cork’s dirty water crisis.
  • Mick organised online meetings, forums, protests, and public pressure to successfully ensure that young people were not forced to take the Leaving Cert during the pandemic years. This would have been particularly difficult for working-class school students.
  • Mick is a campaigner for social and affordable housing, for services and justice for the disabled community, and against the ecological catastrophe of capitalism’s drive for profit.

Posters, leaflets, videos, and social media ads will all be vital to getting our message out during the election campaign. Every donation makes a difference.

€10 will pay for three A-2-sized posters, € 50 for six of our main election posters, € 100 for 1,000 leaflets.

Note:
  • Monies will be sent to Solidarity, which is helping to fund Mick's campaign.
  • You can only donate if you are a resident of the state or an Irish citizen, this applies to those Irish citizens living abroad.
