Help get Mum back Home to Family and Friends

My name is Eric and I'm the only son of Alison. My mum is an amazing and caring person who recently suffered a double tragedy over in America where she has been living with her late husband Bob for the last 4 and half years. Last month Bob after reaching 100 years in the late part of this year passed away, leaving mum alone and depressed. However, planning to come back to Australia and settle back down so she would be close to family and friends again took a tragic twist. She was found barely conscious and covered in blood on the dining room floor after an unknown time and rushed to the local hospital in St George Utah by Bob's son who regularly checked in on Mum. She had suffered a major stroke and now has lost awareness and movement of her entire left side. Doctors have said with 4-6 weeks of rehabilitation there may be signs of improvement but there has been little to cheer about since the stroke and will probably never walk or regain movement on that side.

Unfortunately whilst living over in America she spent 4 years battling immigration to obtain US Citizenship and a Green Card where the US Government still wanted proof from a US Veteran to ensure she was married to an American but to no avail. This has stopped mum from having medical insurance and each day she sits in the hospital waiting for a medivac is costing her thousands of dollars. She will never be able to fly commercially as she can't stay upright and in this current state, she needs constant help getting fed and once off her tubes help to go to the bathroom. Commercial flights are unwilling to risk a recent stroke patient of 80+ traveling with them.

The Australian government has been useless and has offered no assistance and I should seek family and friends assistance first.

The only option to get her home quickly is for a private medivac which is over US$ 229,000 and then the unknown hospital bill which is expected to be over US$ 150,000

Mum doesn't deserve this stress and discomfort on top of her loss and having to up route herself and settle back in Australia. Your help wherever you can is much appreciated to ensure she can get home safely and start her rehab back in Australia.
