Help my Grandpa Al recover at home!

Hello, my name is Jessica Saab, I’m reaching out to all our loved ones & friends as my Grandpa, Al Saab is currently at Abrazo Heart Hospital in Yuma, AZ.

On the 4th of April when my Grandma & Grandpa were packing up their motorhome to return home, my Grandpa had an accident. He was found on the ground unconscious by a neighbor next to the motorhome. 911 was called & when EMS arrived they intubated him, and airlifted him to Abrazo West hospital where he was diagnosed with fractures to C1, C2 & T4, and a heart attack. We surmised that he was on/near the top of the motorhome, suffered a heart attack and fell on his head, causing the fractures.

Once the fractures were stabilized, he was then airlifted to Abrazo Heart for open heart surgery, but due to the fractures, they opted for stents. They ended up placing 7 stents due to the blockages found. He has suffered 7 small strokes, had a feeding tube placed, and remains in ICU.

Luckily my dad Jerrod, and aunt Michelle were able to fly to Arizona to offer Grandma support. They also have Dick, and Betty who have been saviors, by housing them all & giving support in anyway they can.

As of now they remain in Arizona waiting, and trying to get my Grandpa home. Due to the insurance companies denials to pay to transfer him back to Bellingham they will have to pay out of pocket. We have researched & secured a medical flight back home through Angel Medflight, but that is costly. My Grandma is not aware that I’m starting this Go Fund Me, and I know will not be the most thrilled, but Grandma, I love you & Grandpa so much, I'm doing this out of love. Right now, the financial burden of medical transport, ongoing care, and mounting medical debt has placed a strain on our family. I'm turning to our community for support in easing this burden and ensuring that My Grandpa & Grandma can go home. Where he can continue to receive the care that is beneficial for his recovery. To be home where he can be visited by all his friends and family, and Grandma would have more support as well.
