HELP GET NEW SEATS FOR THE AVON!!

Donation protected
The Avon Theatre in Decatur, Illinois was built in 1916, and has been a landmark in Decatur for all those years.
In 1999, the Huston family re-opened it after several years of it being closed, and have turned it into the most successful independent movie theater in downstate Illinois.
In 2004, the Hustons added a two-screen complex next door to the classic Avon, and now the Avon has
3 screens to play first-run movies on!
However, the COVID pandemic of 2020, caused the Avon to be closed twice in the past few years, and resulted in a significant percentage of lost revenue.
The Avon has soldiered on, even with being only open on weekends, due to difficulty in finding appropriate staff. (Many long-term staffers had to find other jobs during the COVID shut-downs.)

The Avon is in desperate need of better seating. Many of the seats date back to 1973, and are broken beyond repair. This funding will enable the Avon to purchase and install quality used seating that will last for many years. We know all of the 1000 seats can't be replaced, but these funds will enable us to improve seating in the prime areas.
Once the project is completed, all who donate will be given published recognition of their part in making this happen!

Please help The Avon improve their seating!
