Help get Preston's Sports Link Network to Uganda
Donation protected
Preston's Sports Link Network is fundraising to help break down barriers and grow community connections through spots.
Preston's Sports Link Network has partnerd with iFamile Emu Children's Center and Kids Lacrosse Africa to help supply Lacrosse Equipment and Training.
However, we can not do it alone. We need community support to help reach our goals.
Our primary goal it to bring safety equipment/gear (Helmets, Shoulder/Kidny Pads, Gloves, Mouth Gards) to these two programs as we feel safety is just as important as building community and growing education.

iFamile Emu Children's Center was started in 2018, our mission is to instill the highest values of independence and self-reliance for comfortable and decent living. Otherwise, we also inspire, empower, motivate and create changes to child’s life through sports, we are inspired to increase popularity of lacrosse in Uganda and to give hope to the children and players by expanding their opportunities.
Here are some activities and information on the Organization;
• Career guidance to youths and young athletes, especially young girls; due to challenges they encounter, such as: school dropout, early pregnancies and marriage etc. 100 - 150 kids / year. (3 times / year).
• Life skills activities like baking cake, shoes crafting and bag making, additional curriculums that provide the kids with more opportunities, to grow besides playing lacrosse. 200 - 300 kids per year...
• Supporting our local coaches and children both socially and academically.
• Girls lacrosse camps - 100+ girls for 2 days. (4 camps / 1 year).
• Mixed lacrosse camps - 200+ children for 2 days.
• Girl children education - around 200 - 250 children. (3 times / 1 year).
Fundraising to support youth talents in Uganda by raising money (donation / charity) and sports equipment to help improve overall facility and learning environment. Providing youths and young athletes in Uganda with more opportunities. Before the Covid pandemic, iFamile Emu Children's Center was actively working in 3 main districts. Providing opportunities for over 1200 kids. At the moment, there is a main focused area but we are looking to expand our resources and funds towards the other 2 areas to provide more activities and opportunities.
Before the Covid 19 pandemic, iFamile Emu Children’s Center was actively working in three main districts. Providing opportunities for over 1200 children. At the moment, there is a main focused area but we are looking to expand our resources and funds towards the other two areas to provide more activities and opportunities. We are aiming to slowly expand and implement lacrosse schools in one or two separate locations within Uganda per year, to expand opportunities across the country. Currently we work as an organisation which is a children’s center and also look to expand to primary and secondary schools in rural areas, educating and transforming the livelihood of the children, creating a better future for their communities and for themselves. We support 80% of the players in lacrosse academics.
We are looking for support towards the overall cost of activities and sports equipment’s required, we hope that with your support we will be able to open up more paths and opportunities to Uganda’s next generation, providing them with a better and brighter future.

KIDS LACROSSE AFRICA
It was founded by my Director Mamawi Andrew and I as a coach . We provide fun Lacrosse training for vulnerable children Bukaya a village near Jinja, Uganda where the Nile river sources with hope to extended it to the rest of Africa.
Well, this program serves over 100 kids +
Along the way moving on the Lacrosse game has helped alot to save some children's life's because most of them have a bad background .
Because we collected them from various areas ,
Imagine a kid at 6yrs fishing no school, food...
At least we have managed to help with the little we have and also the game has really helped alot to free them from bad company and also given them hope .
Ah yes we have tried but as you know with children it's not an easy work but we serve the nation
When they find something interesting they share the pride with others so everyday we get a new kid hence leading to minimize the little equipments we have make them share with the others
Because at kids lacrosse Africa we are a family #we got equal rights
But still we are not only focused on the game only and also mindful of the kids future .
They need school because it's the only way to go.
So if you give a hand you have saved a life .
It's so difficult to source equipment
Sourcing volunteers, equipment drives, fundraising for our local life skilling projects like the farm and school sponsorship would be something we could start with.
