Help get Sky back on four legs again.

Hi, my name is Claire. I used to run a sighthound rescue and still get occasional calls for help. Today my vet called me, a two year old saluki girl was hit by a car and brought in to them.

The person she was microchipped to gave her away over a year ago and didn't want her back. With a badly broken leg and no owner, things weren't looking good for her.

I asked the vets to x ray her and made arrangements for her to be signed over to me. The break is going to need an orthopedic surgeon, costing around £3000 to £5000.

With the current economic crisis, I'm not drawing a wage from our business at present so just don't have the reserves to find enough.

The little pocket poppet named Sky, in her short life, has had mange, at least one litter of puppies, is alarmingly underweight and someone has hacked her dewclaws off. She deserves a new start but I can't do this alone
