Help get Sophie from Snowdon to Tanzania 2024!

This explains why I'm walking up Snowdon to get to Tanzania and why I need your help!

Hello, I’m Sophie and I have been given the amazing opportunity to join

a 4-week volunteering expedition to Tanzania. I will spend 3 weeks volunteering on conservation and community projects in rural villages.

This will be projects such as, redecorating and renovating schools, installing water supplies, digging watering holes and even making paper from elephant poo for the locals to sell to tourists!

I will also get the opportunity to learn to scuba dive and go on a 1-day safari. This expedition is extremely important to me because I feel that it will enable me to help others in a less fortunate position than me and for my personal development, so I am now fundraising towards the cost of the trip.

It will be a challenge being away from home for 4 weeks, with very little contact with my family and friends, also how I will cope with the heat and change of lifestyle, but I am determined to work hard and look forward to seeing how my efforts have helped others.

I have already been working hard to raise money, through bake sales, boot fairs and selling pre loved items, but I still need your help to reach my target. So I have decided to walk up Snowdon (Eryri) as a sponsored event.
