Help get Team Scotland to ISA Worlds

Donation protected
Team Scotland is going to the ISA World SUP & Paddleboard Championships in Denmark in September 2024, and we need your help to get there!

We are 6 athletes who won qualification through the Scottish National Championships in Portobello. Your donation will help us with the costs of sending the team to the World Championships. Race fees are £215 per entry, and Team Scotland is proudly submitting 11 entries across 7 events. What we raise above this will go towards team kit, travel and accommodation costs.

Meet the Team
Jennifer Armstrong - SUP Sprint
Jennifer was introduced to competitive SUP racing through local events, going on to tackle ultra distance races, taking 3rd place at the Great Glen challenge in 2023. “The world's will be my first international event, and I am very excited to be the first female to represent Scotland in the Sprint event.”

Dean Dunbar - Paddleboard Tech
Dean has been involved with extreme sports for over 25 years, taking up SUP in 2014 and prone in 2019. “Being blind, prone boarding is a truly sensory experience. As the only visually impaired paddler competing at the World Championships, I’m very excited to race and extremely proud to represent my country.”

Angela Kerr - SUP Tech and Distance
Angela has been paddling for over 10 years and started racing seriously 2 years ago, “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, I’m super excited and going to enjoy it. If I can do it then anyone can, I hope to inspire other people to give paddle boarding a go.”

Alison Rennie - SUP Tech and Distance
Alison has been paddling for over 10 years. She became UK National Endurance Champion in 2018 before moving on to ultra endurance races around the world with her partner Allistair, mostly on a tandem SUP. “Becoming Scottish National Champion for tech and distance 2024 it will be an exciting new challenge to compete in these races in Copenhagen.”

Jonathan Sherwin – SUP Tech, Distance and Sprint
Jonathan found SUP racing in 2021. He won first place in his age category at the GB National Championships in 2023 and won the Scottish National Championships in 2024. “Representing Scotland at the World Championships is a huge honour, and I look forward to working hard and competing with the world’s best.”

Glen Sloss - SUP Tech and Distance
Glen can often be found prone and SUP paddling around his home on the Isle of Arran. He started SUP racing two years ago and has competed in quite a lot of races in the UK and Europe in that short time. “It’s certainly an honour to be racing with my team mates to represent Scotland for the first time at this event.”
