Hey, I'm reaching out with a big ask. I'm seeking support for a GoFundMe to help the Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation raise money for the purchase and restoration of the Jane Marie, a vintage rail car.
If successful, this project will help fulfill our long-time mission of giving back to local children’s hospitals by providing tours and rides to kids and adults who don’t usually have access to this kind of experience. I believe that children should have the opportunity to have their dreams come true, and I also believe it is important to keep history alive.
It’s going to take a lot to get this done, but with your support, I believe we can make it happen. Please consider donating, because all funds will be used to purchase and restore this historic rail car so we can fulfill our mission of giving back to children's hospitals. You can also help by sharing this GoFundMe and spreading the word so others can find us and support our cause. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference. Your donation will help us reach our goal and bring joy to children in hospitals. Please share and donate to help make dreams come true! You can donate to our GoFundMe campaign or donate to the box at Pete's Auto Care. Thank you for your support!

The Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation needs your help in supporting our efforts to secure the Jane Marie railcar. We need your support in our GoFundMe campaign to raise the necessary funds to bring the car home. This is an exciting project, so I implore all members of the railfan community to do what they can to get this project underway.
We are thrilled to announce the start of our Jane Marie fundraiser!
For those who may be unaware, the Jane Marie is a stunning vintage Rock Island passenger car that we believe would be the perfect companion to our Santa Fe 2926 locomotive here in Albuquerque. She was built in 1958, and restoring her would be the ideal complement to the 2926. We are overjoyed to have found her and we hope you will help us bring her home.
To support this project, please use the donation link provided on the page. If you’re able to help, we can purchase the Jane Marie and transport her to Albuquerque. Once she’s there, we can begin her restoration, which will take a few months but is vital to her looking her best. After that, she will be ready for educational use, so we can teach children and adults all about classic railcars and how to maintain them.
We sincerely hope that you will contribute to this worthy fundraiser. Not only will you be supporting the Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation, but you’ll also be participating in saving a little piece of railroad history for generations to come. We appreciate your support.
For your donation, you’ll receive a thank you from us as well as an appreciation for your kindness and generosity. We’ve set a high goal, but we also understand that it’s a big goal. If we don’t reach the whole amount, that’s fine. What matters most is that we know you thought of us.
Please share this post, and let’s get the fundraising ball rolling!

Happy New Year! I look back at 2024 with pleasure and look forward to a brand new year. And of course, I look forward to seeing you in 2025, hopefully when we have the Jane Marie rail car with us.
I need your help to bring the Jane Marie railcar home, so please donate to support the fundraiser. We're raising $10,000 to make this dream a reality! Please share and donate to help keep rail history alive!
This was the first car the Redwood Empire of Extreme Railfans tried to raise money for at the first tractor event at which the organization tried to get donations. This organization, the Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation, was named after the car back in June 24, 2022, was when we really took off.
We wanted to see this car behind 2926 someday. This car came through Albuquerque once back in 2018 when it was attached to Southwest Chief 3 for Los Angeles, and we tried to raise money for it, but unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. We were disappointed that this car was sold when we worked so hard on trying to promote the Redwood Empire’s GoFundMe, but no donations came in for the amount we needed. Maybe someday, the Redwood Empire will be reunited with 2926. Who knows? The car originally started as a Santa Fe car, then turned into the GN Northwest Pacific Redwood Empire car. We wish the best for the car at its current location. Hopefully, whoever owns the car will keep it running instead of just having it on display.
Do you know how we got the name, Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation?
The Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation has recently started fundraising for the purchase and restoration of the historic Rock Island passenger car, the Jane Marie. If successful, this project will enable us to fulfill our long-time mission of giving back to local children's hospitals. We believe that children should have the opportunity to have their dreams come true. We also believe it is important to keep history alive.
If we are able to purchase and restore this vintage rail car, we plan to use it in various fundraising events to help the children at these hospitals. If you are able to support our mission and make these projects possible, we thank you. We cannot do this without your support.
Our mission is to acquire and restore historic railroad rolling stock, and then give back to the community by providing tours and rides for children and adults. The Jane Marie is a perfect fit for this mission.
This car is a great addition to the Santa Fe 2926 locomotive. The car would make a beautiful addition to the railroad. It was built in 1958 and would be a great educational tool.
Our mission is to provide joy and entertainment to those who would not normally have access to it, including children. If you would like to support this worthwhile cause, please donate to the Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation.
Please consider donating, because all funds will be used to purchase and restore this historic rail car so they can fulfill their mission of giving back to children's hospitals. Your donation will make a big difference in giving hope and joy to children with rare genetic disorders, cancers, and more. Thank you for your consideration and support.
