Who We Are:
Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation is a group of people who's hopes is the get a set of passenger cars for our business and mainly use for future passenger operations and events for New Mexico Heritage Rail who own Santa Fe 2926.
Current/Future Plans:
Our goal is to purchase our first passenger car which is a former Rock Island lounge car called the 'Jane Marie' for our consist and be the rightful owners and use it behind the newly restored Santa Fe 2926 out in Albuquerque, NM for future test runs, events, and passenger operations. Our plan eventually down the road is to get a mini consist together of 5 cars max of our own of 5 cars max (Jane Marie included) to use behind the 2926 for passenger excursions and to have cars of our own for our business.
'Jane Marie' Move Plans:
For now the main focus is the 'Jane Marie' lounge car and the plan for now once purchased is to get it Amtrak certified and then move it out of Chandler, Arizona via Union Pacific freight company and ship it down to Tuscan, AZ and hook-up to the Amtrak Sunset Limited all the way to Los Angeles, CA where we will uncouple from the Sunset Limited and hook-up to the Southwest Chief and will take it all the way back to Albuquerque, NM. Once the car is here we will use it behind the 2926 for their annual New Mexico Railroad Days events and we will provide tours and inside the car. So please, kindly donate your share and help us get the 'Jane Marie' lounge car home.
Future Passenger Operations Plans:
Once we have our 5 car consist complete the rest of the cars will be brought in by other railcar owners and will be mixed in with our cars behind the 2926 and once all said and done those we be sent back to the owners and our cars will be stored in the rail runner yard by the mainline here in Albuquerque. Thank you and we'll see you on the mainline.
Please consider donating today to our Go Fund Me. Without your help, we cannot quickly bring the Jane Marie home to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation needs your help. We need to raise $30,000 to get our first passenger car, the Jane Marie, home to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in time for New Mexico Railroad Days. We have a Go Fund Me going to help pay for this, but we cannot reach our goal without your help. So far, the Go Fund Me has raised $1,645. We are seeking more donations to help get us to our goal so that we can get our car home in time for the September event.
My name is Jonathan F. Cordova, I am the owner and CEO of the Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation, or ERREC. I have been running this business for almost four years now. We are trying to save the Jane Marie Rock Island passenger car, and I have added a lot of funds to our GoFundMe. I would like to thank all of our donors. We still need a lot more if we want to get the car bought, update the trucks, and get it certified. Without the donations, we can’t do this, but with your help through GoFundMe, our donation box at Pete’s Auto Care, our booth at the New Mexico Heritage Rail Road Days, and our two great merch stores, we can make the impossible happen this September.
This September, we have a Santa Fe trip over two days. We also have a week in September and a private event on the Sunset Serenade on the Sky Railway on a day to be determined. I am going to try to book either the Acoma or the Silver Iris for this private event. This is possible only through your support and donation, so we can get the Jane Marie home in time. If we can get the railcar soon, we will be open for tours.
We will have merch items at the New Mexico Heritage Rail Road Days 2025 booth that can be purchased for donations. So, please support us. We can’t do this without you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan F. Cordova

Our Mission: Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation

The Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation has been working for nearly four years to save the vintage Jane Marie passenger car. Our mission is to transport children to special events in this car when we get it up and running, if we raise the funds, and to provide vintage passenger coach transportation for main line service on the Santa Fe 2926. Your generous donations will help us reach our goals and bring joy to children in hospitals.

We have the potential to run either the Silver Iris or the Acoma, but they aren't in good enough shape to run right now. We're looking to purchase the Jane Marie to get things moving along. We need the Jane Marie, along with the Redwood Empire car, which is where the Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation gets its name. We have made some progress, but we still need a lot more funds. If we can get two vintage rail cars running, we can run passenger service on the Santa Fe 2926. The 2926 would be the perfect engine to pull passenger cars. With your help, we can get the Jane Marie and passenger car service running as soon as possible. Please donate to our GoFundMe campaign now! All donations and merchandise sales go directly back into buying the Jane Marie and updating the other rail cars. Please help us reach our goals so we can bring the joy of a trip on the Santa Fe 2926 to children in hospitals, as well as to other passengers.
