The Rock Island “Jane Marie” lounge car, built in the 1940s, is a rare survivor from the golden age of American rail travel. Once a symbol of comfort and elegance, historic railcars like Jane Marie are disappearing forever.

The Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation (ERREC) is raising funds to purchase, move, and restore the Jane Marie before she is lost for good. Our vision is to transform her into a mobile museum and lounge car, allowing railfans, students, and the public to experience history firsthand.
