A little over a year ago, brothers Tj and Aaron Hill, and Aaron’s wife Shelby Hill, started participating in 48 hour film festivals in Madison, Wisconsin.

With the challenge of creating a short film over the course of the weekend, the trio’s goal was always to tell different and weird stories using their unique sense of humor.

After a year they somehow managed to have two of their films move to the national competition, held in Los Angeles, where multiple movies would be selected to be screened at the Cannes International Film Festival. The chosen films were announced at the awards ceremony, and while, disappointed to not hear their name, the trio left happy and proud of the work they had done and the responses to their movies.

However, almost two weeks later, they received the greatest email they could imagine.

“Your film A Cloudy Moon is going to Cannes.”

Now they’re over the moon (a cloudy one!) and are looking to go to France to show their quirky little movie at the biggest film festival in the world in a little less than two months.

It would mean the world to them for all three of them to go, alongside other cast and crew members. Whatever you can give would be eternally appreciated. And even if you cannot give at this time, thank you for reading this. Thank you for celebrating the victories of three midwesterners who love to make quirky little movies.
