Help Geta and Her Daughters After Luci's Passing (Update)

Update #2:

Yesterday was Luci's funeral. It was very moving and well-attended. We will miss him greatly.

The family has been very encouraged by your outpouring of support and donations! These have helped them greatly in getting through this difficult time. Geta left today to go to Germany to close out Luci's affairs there. This is quite complicated and will certainly take more than a few days. It's only after all of this is handled, and she returns to Romania with his belongings and his car, that she can begin the process of figuring out what they will do next.

We will be alongside them during this time with advice and support. If anyone has any knowledge of taking care of international affairs like these, please let us know. In the meantime, the family appreciates your continued prayers and support!

Update#1:

We were able to have Luci repatriated to Romania. There were significant costs in Germany, here in Romania, and of course the repatriation. The funeral will add more to the expenses as well as the fact that Geta will need to go to Germany to sort out Luci's affairs and bring back his belongings and his car. The funeral will be Monday, June 10th, at 12:00 in Oradea.

Geta and the girls of course took it very hard but have really been troopers the last few days trying to deal with everything. We have tried to be supportive. The outpouring and donations from all of you has been very heartwarming and have helped the family get through this terrible period of time. Thank you so much!

Our hearts are heavy with grief over the sudden and tragic passing of our good friend, Luci. He leaves behind a widow and two beautiful daughters who need our support.

Luci had problems with anemia. Details are still coming in, but it appears he became dizzy upon standing up, fainted, and violently hit his head upon falling, causing his death.

Luci, and his wife, Geta, grew up in Romanian orphanages. They used their experiences to minister to other orphans over the years. Luci was working in Germany to support his family who remained in Oradea, Romania. With his passing, Geta is left to raise two daughters with only her salary. Luci's repatriation to Romania alone will run over $2,500. There are other costs in Germany and also the funeral costs here in Romania. After the funeral, Geta will need a lot of support.

All donations made will go directly to Geta to help cover the repatriation and funeral costs and then to support her and her two daughters, Rebeca and Abi, until they can get back on their feet.
