Help Ghada and Her Family Rebuild Their Life

Ghada Karyym is a 23-year-old woman who overcame the impossible to achieve her dream. She lives in Gaza, the world's largest open-air prison, with 2.3 million other people. She has endured more than 14 years of siege, poverty, unemployment, power cuts, water shortages, and violence. Yet, she managed to win the first place in the world in the International Green Skills Competition from the European Union Training Foundation. She became one of the first technicians in photovoltaic solar energy systems in Gaza, and one of the most influential women in Palestine in 2021. She inspired the girls in her community and showed them how to be strong, smart, and resilient in the face of hardships. She had a big dream that went beyond studying a male-dominated field or winning the green skills contest. She wanted to finish her education and start her own business. She worked hard to make her dream come true, but the war shattered her life.

In one night, the war took everything from her: her home, her room, her office, her smile, and her memories. Ghada and her family are traumatized now because of what they went through. She was looking forward to graduating, wearing the gown, and celebrating with her family.

She was pursuing the rewarding and challenging career of renewable energy and business administration, growing her business with optimism. Now, everything is in ruins - her dreams are buried under the rubble, her home is destroyed, and their lives are disrupted.

Ghada is the sole provider for her family of twelve, but the war robbed her of her job, her home, and everything she owned. They have no income and nothing left. Her father, who is 62 years old, had a horrible car accident in August 2023 that fractured many bones in his body and head. He is still suffering from the aftermath of the accident and needs urgent medical care, but he could not complete his treatment because of... the war. Moreover, Ghada had a hole in her eardrum due to the loud noise of the bombing, and she needs treatment urgently.

Ghada and her family need urgent humanitarian aid; I am asking you to donate whatever you can to help Ghada rebuild her life. وكانت تسعى بتفاؤل إلى تنمية أعمالها و تحقيق مهنة مجزية ومليئة بالتحديات في مجال الطاقة المتجددة وإدارة الأعمال. الآن، أصبح كل شيء في حالة خراب - أحلامها مدفونة تحت الأنقاض، ودمر منزلها، وتعطلت حياتهم.

غادة هي المعيلة الوحيدة لأسرتها المكونة من أحد عشر فردًا، لكن الحرب سلبتها وظيفتها ومنزلها وكل ما تملكه. الآن ليس لديهم أي مصدر دخل ولم يبق لهم شيء. تعرض والدها البالغ من العمر 62 عامًا لحادث سيارة مروع في أغسطس 2023 أدى إلى كسر العديد من العظام في جسده ورأسه. ولا يزال يعاني من آثار الحادث ويحتاج إلى رعاية طبية عاجلة، لكنه لم يتمكن من استكمال علاجه بسبب الحرب. علاوة على ذلك، أصيبت غادة بثقب في طبلة الأذن بسبب ارتفاع صوت القصف، وتحتاج للعلاج بشكل عاجل.

Ghada Krayym ist eine 23jährige Frau, die das unmögliche möglich machte, um ihren Traum in Erfüllung gehen zu lassen. Sie lebt in Gaza, man kann es wohl das weltweit größte Freiluftgefängnis nennen, mit 2,3 Millionen Bewohner:innen. Sie hält seit über 14 Jahren Belagerung, Armut, Arbeitslosigkeit, Stromausfälle, Wasserknappheit und Gewalt aus. Trotz dessen hat Ghada es geschafft, als Gewinnerin der Internationalen Green Skills Competition der European Training Foundation hervorzugehen. Sie ist eine der ersten Photovoltaik-Technikerinnen Gazas und eine der einflussreichsten Frauen Plästinas im Jahr 2021. Sie inspirierte Mädchen und junge Frauen in ihrer Community und war ein Vorbild, indem sie ihnen zeigte auch in Not stark, smart und resilient zu sein. Neben dem Studieren eines Männerdomonierten Berufszweigs und dem Gewinnen des green skills contests, hatte sie den großen Traum ihre Ausbildung zu beenden und ihr eigenes Business aufzuziehen.

Ghada hat sehr hart gearbeitet um diesen Traum wahr werden zu lassen. Aber der Krieg, der auf die Terror-Angriffe der Hamas am 07.10.2023 folgte, hat ihr Leben zerstört, wie das so vieler. In einer Nacht verlor sie alles: Ihr Zuhause, ihr Zimmer, ihr Büro, ihr Lachen und ihre Erinnerungen.

Statt mit ihrer Familie ihre Graduation zu feiern, sind sie nun displaced und haben kein Dach mehr über dem Kopf.

Ghada ist die Alleinernährerin ihrer 11-Köpfigen Familie. Doch der Krieg nahm ihr ihren Job, ihr Haus und alles was sie besaß. Sie hat kein Einkommen mehr. Ihr 62-jähriger Vater hatte 2023 einen schweren Autoufall mit zahlreichen Knochenbrüchen. Er leidet immer noch unter den Folgen des Unfalls und benötigt dringend medizinische Versorgung, jedoch konnte seine Behandlung nicht fortgeführt werden aufgrund des Krieges. Auch Ghada benötigt medizinische Versorgung, da sie aufgrund der Lautstärke der Bombenangriffe ein Loch in ihrem Trommelfell hat.

Ghada und ihre Familie benötigen dringend humanitäre Hilfe.
