Help Ghanaian Dogs and Cats

Donation protected
Dogs in Ghana need your help. Right now, Ghanaian dogs subsist on scraps from individual homes or restaurants or, expensive imported dog food as there is no local and sustainable dog food production in the country. My friend and colleague in the fight for animal welfare, a Ghanaian Veterinarian who wishes to remain anonymous, seeks to remedy this problem through a long-term solution.

Through their dog and cat rehoming platform, this individual collects/buys scraps for the dogs and cats that pass through their care. Recognizing that this is not a sustainable solution for the animals in their care, they identified a solution, to manufacture the dog food theirself with local raw materials. To ensure proper understanding of the nutritional needs and policies, they have identified the Companion Animal Nutrition Certificate  offered through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Using this knowledge, they hope to develop and manufacture nutritional pet food within the country to properly feed dogs and cats across Ghana.

This Go-Fund Me page aims to collect donations to assist this individual with their tuition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This certificate will aid in feeding and providing proper veterinary care to dogs and cats across the whole country. Please help empower my friend to make this long-term solution happen. All donations will go directly to their tuition. Thank you so much.
