Help Giana's Road to Recovery
On October 24, 2020, Giana Costanzo, a 22-year-old from West Caldwell, NJ, had an unexpected accident where she hit her head and later became unconscious. This resulted in a severe traumatic brain injury that required emergency surgery at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Giana was ready to begin her recovery, but she suffered a second traumatic injury when she went to a local rehabilitation center on November 11. Since then, Giana has spent four months in intensive care, has had nine critical medical procedures, severe critical infections, and multiple seizures. Miraculously, Giana is beginning to speak, move her body, and is becoming more aware of her surroundings. She is still being treated at University Hospital, but her family and the medical team hope to transition her home as soon as possible. Your donations will help Giana and her family with health and medical expenses, including physical/occupational rehabilitation, speech/feeding/mental health therapy, family living expenses (food, electric, gasoline, insurance, property taxes), transportation expenses (car payment, gas) , professional nursing services, oxygen, and other special equipment/accommodations while she heals. We are asking for you to help ease the burden of costs for Giana's family. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated! She has a long road to recovery, but she will recover with everyone's support and prayers.
