Help Gilbert Rebuild His Life

We met Gilbert Ervin through Facebook Market while trying to sell some industrial sewing machines and after talking to him for a while he told us his story. We felt the need to help and thought it would be a good idea to start a fundraising campaign to help him rebuild his life.

Gilbert is 65 years old and lives with his wife at their property in Chester, SC where he had his house and his upholstery shop for many years.

On Good Friday this year, Gilbert was out for lunch and when he came back his entire property was on fire, house and workshop included. He has been staying at a motel nearby since the fire and is looking forward to rebuilding his home.

In the meantime, he is looking for a used RV to place on the property, so he won’t spend any more money on hotel rooms.

Whatever is raised will go to Gilbert and his wife.

Gilbert wanted to make sure we let everyone know that his faith in Jesus is carrying him through these tough times and raising his spirits every day.

We were truly touched by his strength and faith, so we hope that this campaign can be the help that he has been praying for.
