Hi everyone!
My name is Gilberto Saenz, I am a third-year, first generation college student at Yale University. I am a Theatre Studies major and hope to pursue acting professionally.
Every year, the National Theatre Institute selects 16 actors to participate in it's Theatremakers Summer Intensive, learning and perform alongside professionals of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre.
The audition process is highly competitive, and I am humbled to say that I was one of the 16 individuals invited to spend my summer in the O'Neill! I have received a generous scholarship from the National Theatre Institute, however, it does not cover all of my program fees. Being invited to NTI is an incredible honor and the benefits of the program will serve me throughout all of my career.
Please help support my summer experience! I am currently working to help pay for my program but need some financial assistance. Any amount helps! I am incredibly excited to continue to represent Donna, Texas and our theatre programs and Yale University at the O'Neill.

In the past I have worked with the COLLABORACTION Peacebook Festival in Chicago, Red Theatre Chicago, and The Donna Theatrical Company. I also have worked for the English Language Development Academy at Donna ISD.
At Yale, I participate in the SHEN Musical Theatre Program, am a member of Yale's Premier Improv Group "The Viola Question", and Red Hot Poker sketch comedy. In my free time I do even more theatre!
