Help Gillian Focus on Healing After Cancer Diagnosis

Hi, I’m Penny, and I’m setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Gillian and her family.

Gillian is a devoted mum of three, carer to her husband Tim who lives with chronic fatigue, and she also supports her elderly mother who lives nearby. She runs her own design business, and as she’s self-employed, she doesn’t receive any sick pay or financial support while unwell.

Just last month, Gillian was diagnosed with womb cancer. Since then, life has been a whirlwind of hospital appointments, scans, and difficult conversations. She is due to undergo a full hysterectomy next week. Her doctors have advised that recovery will take up to three months, during which she won’t be able to work or bring in the income her family relies on.

This fundraiser has been created to help towards the family’s living costs, so Gillian can focus entirely on healing. She would never ask for help lightly, but the most pressing concern right now isn’t just the surgery, but making sure her family is cared for during her recovery.
