Help give Carlos Almazan Jr a proper memorial
Donation protected
Carlos was admitted to NCH on August 24th due to COVID-19. The following day he was placed on a ventilator and deeply sedated, 5 days later he was put on the ECMO machine.
Unfortunately, Carlos lost his battle to COVID-19 on September 16, at the tender age of 22. Although he was young he accomplished so much. He served this country for 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. He was kind hearted, unselfish, and wiling to give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He created a lasting impression to anyone that met him. Our hearts are truly broken.. we lost a cousin, a brother, a son, an uncle, a friend. We lost a piece of our heart that can never be replaced. His smile, his laugh, and the memories shared with him will forever live on through everyone who loves him. Carlos death will always serve as a reminder to live life to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised.
He is survived by his father Carlos Almazan, his mother Erica Almazan, his sister Victoria Christina Almazan, his brother Ramon Almazan, and his Nephews Caiden, Benjamin, and Sebastian Mayo.
Carlos had just EAS’d (End of Active Service) 2 months ago, so unfortunately the USMC informed the family they cannot provide monetary compensation to help with funeral expenses, but will provide appropriate honors as a final salute to his life and the final demonstration of the country’s gratitude to those who, in times of war and peace, have faithfully defended our nation.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Please help us give Lance Corporal Carlos Almazan an honorable soldiers farewell. Thank you and God Bless.
