Help Give Chelsey Dawn Ulrey a Beautiful Farewell
Donation protected
Today, September 5, 2024, my sister Chelsey Dawn Ulrey gained her wings in heaven at the young age of 31. No parent should ever have to plan their child’s own funeral. As a parent, I can’t even fathom that kind of pain, but especially for my parents because they have been with Chelsey every single night since the day she was born!
At the age of 2, my sister was diagnosed with uncontrollable seizures. She spent months at a time in the hospital, tried every medicine there was for seizures, and surgery wasn’t an option for her. Every summer growing up, we went to Holiday World, and every time we stopped at the wishing fountain and threw a penny in, my whole life, every single year, my wish was for my sister to stop having seizures. I do find peace in knowing that today my sister is seizure-free, but I wish it could be here on earth so we could have all celebrated it together. I wish she could have had an easier life, I wish she could have enjoyed life longer, I wish she could have experienced what it was like to drive, date, marry, and become a mother because she would have been the best mom! Through everything life threw at her, she was still the happiest girl with the biggest smile.
She deserves a beautiful funeral; she deserved so much more, so if you’re able to help, thank you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and if not, I completely understand. I just ask that you keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.
