Help give Christy Thelen the send off she deserves

It is with the heaviest of hearts that my brother Daniel and I are put in this position to reach out for help during one of the most painful and difficult times in our lives. We lost another major piece of our hearts completely unexpected and unforeseen.

On Thursday, June 17th 2021, Our sister Christy Thelen joined our mother Ella Thelen, our father Larry Thelen, and Christy’s son Austin Thelen, in heaven. 

Austin just passed away two months ago. Christy had dedicated her life to caring for her son, who had special needs to being shaken at just 5 weeks old.

Christy’s heart could not bear losing her everything and just two short months later, without warning, she took her last breath.

Christy was the most kind, funny, talkative person we knew. Christy was a great sister, aunt, mother and friend. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Christy, there’s no doubt, she left a lasting impression. She’d give the shirt off her back and help anyone she could.

She was one of a kind. There is nothing that could have prepared us for this immense loss. After burying her son, we were not prepared to have to put her to rest as well.
