Help Connor in his Battle Against Cranio Cervical Instability and Lyme Disease
Hello everyone,
My name is Connor Edwards, and I am a 28-year-old individual from the UK. Today, I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and immense hope for your support. Unfortunately, I have been diagnosed with both Cranio Cervical Instability (CCI) and Lyme Disease, along with a Bartonella infection. Currently, even a simple breath can cause excruciating bone shifts within my spine, resulting in severe pain, and passing out sensations.
As you can see my C1 is severely unstable.
My Local Doctors Ignore this!
Living with these debilitating conditions has taken a toll on my daily life and overall well-being. I am struggling immensely, and my partner and I are devastated that my health deteriorated so rapidly. The purpose of this fundraising campaign is to raise funds amounting to £50,000, enabling me to access the treatment that could potentially change my life.
This Video is a medical review revealing in detail what I have and need your generous help.
Treatment Plan:
(Phase 1) is to have a leading surgeon review the full aspects of my condition. This will be some £5,000. This review is what has been denied to me with my local medical options.
(Phase 2a) if I am deemed pathological beyond which conservative treatment can't help. I will need a great amount of financial help for fusion surgery.
(Phase 2b) One of the key treatment options outside of surgery is the PICL (Posterior Intralaminar Cervical Ligament) procedure. This groundbreaking procedure aims to regenerate the ligament in the Craniocervical junction, which is critically necessary to stabilize my unstable and loose ligaments.
Unfortunately, there is limited access to this vital treatment in the UK, leaving patients like me neglected and bedridden. Many individuals with CCI and Lyme Disease are forced to seek treatments abroad, such as Spain, Barcelona, and even the United States.
The funds raised will primarily be allocated to covering the costs of the PICL procedure. This procedure, along with other treatments like polo therapy and plasma-rich platelet injections, aims to generate the much-needed ligaments and stabilize the joints. However, these treatments are only available through private providers, making them incredibly expensive and inaccessible for me.
My Story
For the past three years, I have been bound to my bed, engulfed in pain and suffering. It has become nearly impossible to cope with the symptoms that plague my daily life. Alongside excruciating bone cracking and dislocations, I experience burning sensations, numbness, tingling, dizziness, weakness, and malabsorption issues.
I am determined to share my journey and progress with all of you. Your generous support can make a profound difference, not only for my physical health but also for my mental and emotional well-being. The funds raised will provide me with much-needed hope, support, and a chance to regain my quality of life.
I am wholeheartedly appealing for your assistance and contributions to help me reach my fundraising goal. Your kindness will play a significant role in helping me receive the treatment I desperately need. Please, join me on this challenging journey and help me spread awareness about the hell that CCI and Lyme Disease patients in the UK suffer
No amount is too small, and every single contribution will help me inch closer to my goal. Please consider donating and sharing my plight with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can make a difference!
MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE
In the Craniocervical junction, the ligaments are there to hold the vertebrate and place and protect the spinal cord but also hold the skull in place when these ligaments become loose the skull slips backwards and forwards or side to side depending on what ligaments are affected unfortunately mine slides front to back and so side to side which means I'm living like a complete bobblehead, very scary.
Cranio Cervical Instability (CCI) is a condition that involves the instability of the junction between the skull and the cervical spine (neck). In individuals with CCI, the ligaments that hold the skull and cervical spine together are weak or damaged, leading to excessive movement and instability in this area.
CCI can have a significant impact on a person's health and well-being. Here are some ways in which CCI can affect individuals:
1. Neurological symptoms: The unstable movement in the cranio-cervical junction can put pressure on the nerves and spinal cord, leading to various neurological symptoms. These symptoms may include headaches, dizziness, vertigo, vision problems, difficulty swallowing, changes in balance and coordination, and even cognitive impairment.
2. Chronic pain: The instability in the upper spine causes chronic pain in the neck, head, and upper back. This pain can be severe and debilitating, making it challenging for individuals to perform daily activities and maintain a good quality of life.
3. Mobility issues: CCI can lead to mobility problems due to instability and associated pain. Individuals may experience difficulty in moving their head and neck, leading to limited range of motion and stiffness.
