Help give Dale their smile back
Donation protected
10/10/23 UPDATE: Dale completed their third surgery today to help reverse the damaged caused by the dog attack. It went well and they are home with me recovering. They are still accepting donations to help them cover some of the costs that they have adding up from all the visits and missed work. So far we have had 18 trips back and forth to Iowa City with several more in our future. But we are so grateful for all those who have checked in and helped in so many ways.
Hi
On June 3rd, our son Dale was bitten by a pit bull. So many of our friends and family have reached out asking how they can help. As a result, we've decided to start this page to help alleviate some of the financial stress as he continues to recover from this accident.
Dale will undergo several reconstructive surgeries over the coming months to replace/repair his lower lip. We will have many trips to Iowa City where the facial reconstructive and plastics team will do all they can to give Dale back his beautiful smile and repair the nerve damage that they have as a result.
They will miss a lot of work, which seems to be the most stressful part along with the mounting medical bills that they'll have. No, the owner did not have any insurance and yes, they feel horrible about what has happened. The dog has never, up to this point, acted this way before. If you would like to donate, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for all the love and support that you've shown. The calls and texts are so very much appreciated.
From our family to yours.
