Help Give Derrick Howard Jr. a Proper Burial

On Friday, November 15, 2024, my friend, Dareen Berniard received the worst phone call a mother could get. She was informed that her son, Derrick Howard, Jr. had been a victim of a senseless murder on his way to work. Derrick was 32 years old and a lifelong New Orleans, LA resident. Derrick was the youngest of his 3 siblings and was everyone's baby. Derrick loved basketball and football, being from New Orleans, he also enjoyed good food. Derrick had many passions, but the love of his life was his daughter Charley. Derrick was truly a girl dad. The sun rose and set on Charley. Derrick would shine like a light bulb when Charley entered the room. He was also a devoted brother and a loving son. The family would like to give Derrick a proper burial.
