Help Give Emily Ellison Her Final Farewell

Hi, I'm Ophelia, the granddaughter of this beautiful, wonderful lady named Emily Ellison. She worked at Duke Hospital for over 30 years! She was a resident of Durham, NC, where she raised her 5 kids. She always went out of her way to help anyone in need. She loved eating fish and pineapple cake.

However, after her 100th bday on September 15th, 2023, her health started to decline tremendously. Although faced with struggles of becoming immobile, she remained in great spirits and never lost her sense of humor. On September 15th, 2024, she turned 101! Our family was so blessed to still have her here. We celebrated with her with a dinner of all her favorites!

Sadly, on September 23rd, 2024, my grandmother transitioned home to be with God. Unfortunately, my grandmother did NOT have life insurance of any kind. Her funeral is October 5th, 2024, and we have to have her funeral expenses paid within 24hrs of services. We currently have approximately $9k on hand towards her arrangements and are in need of $6,500 more! We are asking for help with this amount to bury our loved one who has superseded life expectancy. We would graciously appreciate ANY and ALL help towards this amount. Thanks to all that took the time to read and sympathize with my family.
