“Help Give Gene the POWER to Rebuild”

On the 2nd of October, our friend, Gene Hunter, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke at home while working. Gene has been hospitalized since that day and his course has been challenging. Since then, he has suffered additional strokes, transferred in and out of the ICU, and has battled his way through multiple infections. Gene is currently in the acute phase of his stroke rehabilitation.

As he journeys along this road to recovery, he will need hours of physical, speech, and occupational therapy. The challenges he faces to reach each goal and eventually come home, are and will continue to be extensive. A stroke patient’s future is so unpredictable, and we all want to be there to support him, every step of the way. We all know he is a FIGHTER; and Gene continues to fight every day!

Theresa, Justin, and Sara continue to spend countless hours with Gene at the hospital. With that comes many additional out of pocket expenses including gas, parking, and eating away from home as they continue to support a husband and father.

So many of you have already graciously reached out to ask what you can do or how you can help. This was challenging at times. The creation of this fundraiser offers one way to give our assistance.
