Help give Kaycen the proper goodbye please

This is by far the last thing I ever thought I would have to do. My beautiful son, Kaycen Charles was born on 12/27/2021 at 6:20am. 5lbs 14.5 oz & 19 inches long. He was born at 36 weeks. Sadly he was already gone before he arrived into this world. He was such a healthy baby the whole 9 months.

I started bleeding on 12/26 & having strong contractions so I went to the hospital where they told me he didn’t have a heartbeat anymore. When he arrived they found out that his placenta had unattached from my uterus & his cord was wrapped around his neck twice. I got to stay with him until 6 pm last night, but I had to make arrangements with a funeral home before it got too late. No one should ever have to watch their kid go into a wooden box. I don’t even want to be writing this right now, but I know it needs to be done in order for my son to get the care he needs.

I’m asking for help regarding his funeral cost & cremation. I know it’s typically 2500 but I am getting help from a nonprofit organization also, I just don’t know how much yet. Anything helps. I meet with the funeral home today at 2pm & will be planning a viewing for my close family so I can say goodbye again before we cremate him. If I end up getting more than what he needs it will be donated to another family who’s going through the same or an organization regarding the same. Thank you for reading our story.
