Funeral for Noah Michael Villa
Dear family, friends, colleagues and loving strangers,
Thank you for taking the first step to support the Villa family in our time of need by clicking the link. We are writing to you to inform you about the loss of our baby boy, Noah Michael Villa.
Jasmine was admitted into the hospital Wednesday, September 11th at 4p. She went to the hospital for a quick check up. What we thought would be a normal check-up appointment.. turned our world completely upside down. After evaluating Jasmine’s body, Jasmine was forced to have emergency surgery in order to have a chance to save her life + our son’s life on that Thursday morning. At the time we were informed it was going to be a 50/50 chance Jasmine + the baby will be okay post surgery.
The surgery went well.. however moments after post surgery.. Jasmine’s body did not react well to the surgery. Her body was struggling to keep a stable heart rate + a normal blood pressure count. After multiple doctors rushed to our room along with witnessing a handful of scary scenes and a handful of graphic moments, it was safe to say Jasmine and the baby were okay at that time.
A few hours later, Jasmine had unfortunately developed a fever, so the doctors had to conduct a chest x-ray + an ultrasound to dive deeper into the situation at hand.
Multiple high level doctors, specialists and surgeons have stopped by our room by this time.. unfortunately every time they have entered the room, it’s always bad news for the Villa family. After 30+ hrs straight of getting hit extremely hard with bad news on bad news we explored every option possible, but after exploring all options and scenarios, the decision ultimately narrowed down to our baby’s life coming to an end or the baby’s life + Jasmine’s life coming to an end.
Of course and at first, we were trying to save both lives. However, considering Jasmine’s body condition and the damage she took from the surgery, only 1 life can come out of this situation. God spoke to us to go with saving and prioritizing Jasmine’s life in this case.
Jasmine received all the necessary treatment, care and medication in order to go into early labor. As we are all preparing to go into early labor, all we have heard from the doctors is the probability of our son surviving is extremely low. Not to mention, if the delivery is successful, his quality of life could be very difficult down the road. Hours later and after spending 48+ hrs in the hospital, Jasmine officially went into labor. She went through a ton of pain, suffering and tears with me right there by her side.
Our son, Noah Michael Villa, was born on Friday, September 13th at 7:13p weighing at 1lb 6oz. Noah was immediately on ventilators fighting hard to survive. We got to spend some valuable time and take special photos with our baby boy, Noah, during his first 30 mins of life while being operated on. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team and the delivery team informed us that Noah flipped seconds just before he came out of Jasmine with his head first which led to a successful delivery which was an absolute miracle due to the prayers of whoever is reading this.
As we were blessed enough to receive 2hrs of deep sleep and after spending 60+ hrs in the hospital, we were awoken and informed that Noah’s last moments are just around the corner. As Jasmine and I immediately get dressed to see our baby boy for the last time, we are absolutely devastated by this news, but we also understand this was a possibly that God has bigger plans for Noah beyond our understanding.
I am proud to say Jasmine and I spent Noah’s final moments of life with him up until God called him into Heaven. Noah’s 633 minutes of life were spent in the best care with the absolute best love. As we spoke to him, his body jumped as he was able to recognize our voices. We are proud to say we are parents and we are proud to say we witnessed a miracle of our baby boy being born into this lifetime considering the circumstances. We are extremely blessed to receive the 10 hrs and 33 minutes of life from our baby boy, Noah Michael Villa. 13 is Noah’s lucky number considering the fact he was born on Friday the 13th + he was born at 7:13p + his original due date was January 13th.
Entering the hospital with 3 lives and coming home with 2 lives is the biggest challenge we are facing in our lifetime. As of right now, we are grieving as a family. Please continue to pray for us as we go through this difficult time.
If you have been blessed with luxury of being a parent, please hug your child/children extra tight today as you never know when you might lose them.
Son, your mom and I love you oh so very much. We know you are up in Heaven looking down upon us. We know you are playing with all the toys that haven’t even been invented on Earth yet. I know you are starting to learn and play basketball to eventually take on your old man to a 1v1 challenge. We looking forward to hugging you as we enter the gates of Heaven when it’s our time to go.
God bless you, son. I miss you.
This is not the first child we’ve lost. Back in October of 2023 we were expecting a baby girl with her due date April 21st 2024. Unfortunately, at 13 weeks we found out her heartbeat had stopped. We were in deep pain around that time, but I honored our baby girl’s (Mia) due date on April 21st 2024 by proposing to her mom, Jasmine. My rock!
We are all devastated by Noah’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We are trying our best as a family to wake up from this nightmare, but this is our reality now. We want to give Noah the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our final goodbyes.
It would mean a lot to the Villa Family if you could share Noah’s funeral fundraiser with others who were excited to meet our miracle baby. If you ever told us, “let me know what we can do for you” or “I’m always here for you” this is what you can do for our family.
GoFundMe does take a small percentage of your donation money. However, if you’re not comfortable with that and want the Villa family to receive your full donation amount, there are other payment options listed below.
