Help Give Phil the Celebration He Deserves
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Strangers,
My name is Ashley. In February 2024, my dad, Phil Baker, sustained a traumatic brain injury caused by a motorcycle accident. We initially had some hope for recovery, but unfortunately, his health declined and he is now terminally ill. As I write this on August 13th, he has only a few days left to live.
If you knew my dad prior to February, then you know that he was LOUD, charming, creative, silly, and full of energy. Watching him quietly decline over these past six months has been heartbreaking and has felt especially unfair. Nothing about him was ever quiet. I don’t want his death to slip by as quietly as the last few months have.
Giving my dad a proper memorial is the last thing I’ll ever get to do for him, but I can’t do that without help. Funerals, burials, and/or memorials are extremely expensive, costing many thousands of dollars. What I’ve asked for here is less than half of what we need, and is just enough to cover fees that will be due immediately. Any amount that you can donate will help me honor my dad’s life. If you can’t afford to donate, it would mean a lot if you shared this around.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
