Help Give Sherry Dado a Dignified Farewell

Spende geschützt

Hi, I'm Noi. I'm writing about my best friend, Sherry Denise Dado, from Calinga, California, who was born with multiple sclerosis. She was widowed over 40 years ago due to a senseless murder and raised her child alone from the age of 19. Our friendship, which lasted 23 years, . We met in 2003, became friends, and moved in together in 2004. Despite the ups and downs, she was always supportive and never stopped smiling under any pressure.

Eight months to a year was predicted for her 23 years ago. Since then, she has battled three different cancers, survived breast cancer, dealt with mitral valve prolapse, a hiatal hernia, a lesion in her throat, radiation, and chemo. She was even run over by a bulldozer and almost put in Lake Mead. She endured a year of hospitalization and a long list of other treatments.

We came here against all odds to be with some friends, my mother, sister, and her three children, facing a permanent nursing home without any kin or relatives to support her we decided to come to Kansas to be around people who loved her. With the help of Catholic Charities, Jim Dean, the social workers at Silver Hills Healthcare Facilities (Heidi, Kenneth, and Dax), and best friend Patty McGuire, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (for human concern outreach pastor), all in Las Vegas, we made it here against all her health issues. We made it without a tear, a bottle of oxygen, no medicine, and 40 hours on Greyhound, losing 4 of 7 luggage bags. She went into St. Francis Hospital in Kansas.but we made it to Derby, Kansas, and within a month, day after day, I came to her side, and she was so happy we made it.

I'm a VA veteran, and service connection is our thing. We came to be together and live it up with the compensation I'm to receive, but Sherry never made it. She passed Saturday, and we were separated, her in nursing for a short week where Sherry's illness overcame her. She was proud to be here and felt good like she was going to make it. Not many days, maybe teary-eyed no more than three times, I'm to remember. She overcame many onsticles and everything she did was out of the goodness of her heart.

I'm asking for help ,because I never realized how important it is to have after life terms til now .She deserves to have a cremation and a small memorial where I can visit her and tell her everything is going to be okay. With love and many thanks from strangers to even just those who read this,

Born Aug. 17, 1950, Sherry D. Dado passed of natural death at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the age of 74 and a half. A long time for someone with full MS . Thanks for your time, NOI. Realistically, I've never done this, buried anyone, nor been responsible for anyone before, so this is what I need to finish and keep this promise. A funeral? I'm not sure. I just need a cremation and possibly a stone and her ashes if I can. So, service is not sure but two weeks?

Pictures are first met with my sister son Derick , last day picture when he got new clothes and parfum .She was ecstatic and went her last outing that day first time since we got here a month ago. And her ramp i made just for her with a pony tail.
