Help Give Cowboy Terry a Proper Farewell

My name is Leslie Masson and I'm hoping to raise funds to be able to give my dear friend and a beloved member of the Peekskill, NY community a proper burial and memorial service. His name is Terry Lee VonHightower, but everyone called him "Cowboy".

Terry was a unique character who led a very interesting and colorful life which he lived to the fullest. Everyone loved to sit with him when he was at one of his favorite Peekskill spots like the Bean Runner Cafe and listen to his many stories about his life and adventures.

Terry was always dressed in the most haute couture western wear. He had a vast collection of cowboy boots and hats that any cowboy would be envious of. And when he walked down the streets of Peekskill, he acknowledged every passerby with a cheerful greeting.

Unfortunately, Terry was not a man of means and did not have any insurance or savings to cover his final expenses, and he didn't have any living relatives that he ever spoke of. So those of us who loved him are doing what we can, but we are asking everyone who has ever had a smile put on their face by Cowboy to help us in this endeavor by donating to this GoFundMe so that we can help him ride off into the sunset with a smile on his face and knowing how much he was loved and will be missed.
