Help Give Two Detroit Children a Christmas

I am fundraising to help provide a Christmas for our former foster daughter (age 2.5) and her older brother, (age 6) whom was also in foster care, but with a different family. Our daughter was with us from birth for 1.5 years and her brother was in foster care for 5 years.

Even though our daughter is not with us all the time anymore, she will always be our little girl! We still see her often and she visits us every other weekend. We try our best to help her mother out by offering our support in various ways. This Christmas she could really use our help! 

The children have been back with their single birth mother for a year now. Their mom struggles daily to make ends meet. She has a job and works 6 days a week. She has really turned her life around and put in a lot of effort to better her life for herself and her kids!

 

This family could use your help this Christmas! There isn't a lot of joy for them in their daily lives. They live in a tiny two bedroom apartment in Detroit. The children can't play outside due to there being no place to play and safety concerns. The kids don't get new toys or clothes very often.

 

The children need a lot of basics such as; socks, underware, diapers, snacks, and developmentally appropriate toys for their ages. They are also both in need of new beds and bedding.
