Help Gordon & Kids to go on one last holiday

Gordon James MacKenzie is an award-winning photographer with a Masters in Fine Art from DJCAD and a 25+ year portfolio. A creative collaborator and dear friend since long before the conception of MTAT, he has been one of the few constants in my life. Gordon is a proud single father of three beautiful children; he's genuinely one of the good ones.

His work has been published everywhere, from Italian Vogue to the sleeves of Fat Wreck Chords releases. An exhibition of his work is currently on display at Rad Apples. Gordon was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer a few years ago, and, heartbreakingly, all treatments have been unsuccessful. His condition is now terminal.

As one of my oldest friends, having first held hands on the first day of Primary 2, the prospect of life without Gordon is scary, but even more so for his children, family and loved ones. Gordon's favourite holiday destination on earth is Italy. We're hoping to raise enough funds to send him and the three kids on holiday one last time, while they can still all travel together.

This is the first time I've ever put together any kind of non-sales based crowdfunding, but if there was ever going to be a first time, I could think of no more worthy cause than this one.

The MTAT collective is also hosting GOOBERFEST on Saturday 12th March 2022 at Rad Apples, Dundee.

TRAGICAL HISTORY TOUR BAND (my band) will be playing a “headline” length set and we'll be joined for one night only by THE FAT WRECKERS. Our pal THEE RAG N BONE MAN will open the show, and we'll have some special guests joining us too. Our friend DEBAUCHERY LEE DESIGNS will be tabling, and we'll have a fundraising TOMBOLA on the go.
