Help Gordon with his roof repairs

I have created this page to help raise some funds for our neighbours Gordon and Shirley. Gordon is 92 and still very active in the community and drives people to their hospital appointments and gives lifts when needed to those who need help. This autumn his roof needed some repairs so he contacted Precision Roofing and Building who are based in Aldershot. They had good reviews on Checkatrade and other similar sites. He paid £8,800 for roofing repairs. Faults appeared and when his roof leaked they eventually returned to make repairs but it transpires a 5 year old could have done a better job. The work is shoddy beyond belief and each independent roofer who has seen it has been shocked by the poor workmanship. As such Gordon has had to pay £3,000 for repairs. Local companies have donated tiles , nails and scaffolding at half price. Let’s rally round and try and raise some funds as overall Gordon has had to spend just under £12k from his life savings to pay for this. The original roofers shock horror have disappeared , are uncontactable, all adverts online have gone and we have found their so called officer in Aldershot to in fact be a tanning salon with a bemused owner now being contacted by lots of unhappy roofing clients. They have used his address as well. We have contacted Trading Standards but if as a community we can find some funds to help Gordon recover some of his hard earned money that would be awesome. I have set a hopeful target on here but let’s try and achieve that and more !
