Hi my name is Sam. I will be running the Warwick Half Marathon in order to raise funds to help Gracie Tudor get the life saving treatment she requires.
Gracie is a 3 year old little girl who shortly after Mothers Day 2023 was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma, a rare cancerous tumour that is treated initially with chemotherapy. Once Gracie has completed her UK treatment and to prevent the tumour returning Gracie will need to go to abroad for life saving treatment. Unfortunately this is something that comes at a high price, £300,000 high!
Should Gracie get to have this treatment it would mean that she can live a long and happy life without the constant fear of the cancer returning. If it did return, her chances of survival would be slim to none, so we cannot allow this to happen. For now, Gracie is putting up the biggest fight to beat this.
No child should have to go through what Gracie is currently going through and no parents should have to watch their children go through it either, which is why I want to do whatever I can to help.
I’m not going to lie, it’s more takeaway runs I’ve been doing recently than road or marathon running and it will be tough but it’s a challenge i want to take on in order to help Gracie and her family.
They are such an amazing family and they will not give up and will try every avenue to get their little girl better. So if you can give anything big or small, they would be so grateful for your help.
If however, the funds aren’t needed for Gracie, they will be given to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and/or a Child Neuroblastoma charity.
Lets give this brave little girl every possible chance, as well as supporting Claire, Ste and Katelyn through this difficult journey
