Help Grandparents After LA Fire-Temporary Living Assistance
Donation protected
UPDATE:
After the loss of their home we believe my grandmother was under a lot of stress and depression- (she did always need a home nurse to care for her but only to disperse medication and do shopping for them) ever since her home was destroyed our plan has NOW changed on what we will be using this money for.
Doctors say these are her last days and we would like to continue to raise money to cover the expenses of flying my grandparents down to Texas and having my grandmother spend her last moments with family.
The money will also help us with end of life expenses and funeral expenses.
It is a harsh reality but the doctors say she does not have much time with us.
Any money WILL be used to have them come home to Texas AND be in comforting care around family.
We just want them back in Texas because she should not have to pass away in LA where she already has bad memories of losing her home that they worked hard for to retire in.
My poor grandparents have lost their home and NOW my grandfather will be losing his wife. She was a gentle caring person, she always volunteered with many organizations in LA until she got sick - LA / St Vincent meals has been keeping my grandparents and cousin fed because they have nothing.
My sweet grandparents' dream retirement home was lost during the LA fires. They are currently safe but sadly left without a home now. It saddens us because they chose LA to retire and live their last few years in happiness; instead, they have to start all over. This will not bring their memories of the home back, but it will help them with some relief of spending on building or buying a new home.
Please reach out and help them brighten up their day as they are desperate to find peace in this tragedy.
Where Your Donations Will Go:
• A safe, stable place for them to stay. While we figure out how to bring them to Texas.
• Food, clothing, and basic necessities they lost in the fire
• Diapers, and other essential care items for my grandmother. (As she was taken care of by an at home nurse.)
• Specialized care by an at home nurse.
• Her books she read to calm her anxiety.
• help to somewhat get the important/necessary items they lost.
This tragedy left my sweet grandparents with nothing, including all of my grandpas work. This has been their home for so many years that it breaks the family's heart to see that it's all in ashes now. This is so devastating, not only so close to the new year, but now trying to get their lives back to some sort of normality for the family and their grandchildren.
All donations received will be sent directly to my grandparents so they can restart from scratch and rebuild their lives. Your donation will help immensely towards the basic necessities, temporary housing, clothing, food, and especially medical supplies and equipment- anything else they may need at this very tragic time in their lives. Any donation will help & will be very much appreciated.
Your donation will help them rebuild their lives as they try to find stability again.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in their journey to recovery.
If you're unable to donate, we ask for your prayers, well-wishes, and help in spreading the word by sharing this campaign.
THANK YOU for standing with this incredible family during their time of need. Together, we can help them rebuild and show them the same love and compassion they have always shown to others.
We are trying our hardest to get my grandparents back to Texas to be well taken care of here by FAMILY. And not wandering in LA with no home or means. Please help us.
