Help Greene Family's Moving Costs

Hi, my name is Heather Greene, and I am the single mother of Adrienne Greene and Shawn Greene. I was devastated to find out on February 22, 2022, that we have until April 30, 2022, to vacate our housing unit. We've lived here for 14 years and always pay the rent on time; I'm absolutely devastated to get this news. The landlord had this planned out since the summer of 2021 but waited until late February to notify us. My daughter Adrienne is medically fragile due to having a rare genetic syndrome called Osteoporosis Pseudoglioma Syndrome, a form of Osteogenesis Imperfecta. She is blind, developmentally delayed, has brittle bones, autism, and failure to thrive. She also has not left the house since the start of the pandemic, so I don't even know how I'm going to get her out of here. I'm seriously having health problems myself, like my blood sugar and my heart and anxiety. I pleaded with them and explained our health situation, just to be told, "Your health doesn't keep you from moving." I am overwhelmed by all this; I don't know that my health will let me pull through this. I am so embarrassed that I need to ask for help. We are barely getting by, and now we need to come up with application fees, a security deposit, a moving truck, pay people to help move, etc. The landlord is about to remodel this unit and raise the rent, but I was also surprised to be told that I have to have this place professionally cleaned and the carpet professionally cleaned and then show them proof that it was professionally cleaned, even though he is about to have it totally remodeled. My daughter uses a wheelchair, so I think another expense I will incur is having a wheelchair ramp built wherever we move. None of these places so far have been set up for a wheelchair, and we've been told that it will be up to us to pay for and get installed. I'm so sorry I have to ask for help on this, but this is all so sudden and overwhelming, I can't do it by myself. Any help is truly appreciated! Thank you for your time in reading our story.
