Help Greg Woodburn in his Biggest Battle Yet

Donation protected
Supporting our Friend in Need

For Greg Woodburn, a series of relentless health battles have defined recent years, yet his courage has never wavered. Now, as Greg faces the daunting prospect of a kidney transplant, his friends are stepping up to launch this GoFundMe campaign, determined to ease his burden and get your support in his time of need.

Resillience and Courage

For those who know him, Greg Woodburn is more than just a colleague or friend; he's a symbol of unwavering strength and resilience. Having worked alongside many of us at David’s Department Store and Rusty’s Outdoor Sports in Wichita, KS, Greg has not only been a part of our professional lives but has also shared his passion for the great outdoors, hunting, shooting, and reloading with us.

However, Greg's journey has been anything but easy. A heart transplant survivor and a warrior in the battle against cancer, Greg has faced medical challenges that would daunt the strongest of spirits. Yet, with each obstacle, his resolve has only strengthened, supported tirelessly by his loving wife, Shirley, who has been his rock through numerous procedures, including reconstructive ankle and hip surgeries that necessitated expensive medical equipment.

Facing the New Challenge

Today, Greg faces a new and overwhelming challenge. Back home after a recent extended stay at Saint Luke’s in Kansas City —where he's fought and won many battles before, including receiving his heart transplant —Greg is currently on kidney dialysis and in dire need of a kidney transplant. The medical costs are mounting, an ever-increasing burden that Greg and Shirley are struggeling to bear alone.

A Call to Action

We, his buddies and former colleagues, want to help. In recognition of the man who has tackled every challenge with a positive attitude and unmatched grit, we've initiated this GoFundMe campaign. Our aim? To alleviate some of the financial pressures that come with Greg's medical treatments and to support him in this critical time.

But we can't do this alone. We're reaching out to you—friends, family, former colleagues, and anyone whose life has been touched by Greg's indomitable spirit. Your contribution can make a significant difference, whether it's helping with medical bills or aiding in the search for a kidney donor. How You Can Help

  • Donate: Every contribution, regardless of size, brings Greg and Shirley one step closer to the relief they so urgently need.

  • Share &Spread the Word: The more people who know about Greg's situation, the wider the net we cast for potential support and even a kidney donor.

  • Support: Words of encouragement are invaluable. If you've worked with Greg, you know the kind of man he is. Let's show him he's not alone in this fight.

Greg Woodburn has always faced life's toughest battles head-on, and now, as he faces yet another challenge, he does so with the same courage and positivity that have defined his life. Let's come together to offer him the support and strength he's shown us throughout the years. It's our turn to stand up for Greg and show him just how much he means to us all.

Please join us in helping Greg Woodburn. He deserves it so much.
