Help Gregory Salazar & Family

My name is Nilliret Yaime Gonzalez and I have decided to open this GOFUNDME page to raise funds to help with the assistance in the recovery process of my beloved and only son, Gregory Yaime Salazar, 29 years old, who came to Massachusetts last January 2023 to fulfill his dream of studying English and continuing his professional development, but unfortunately was the victim of a car accident. My son was hit by a car on March 22, 2023, and as a result of the accident, he suffered multiple fractures in the skull, left arm, and ribs. The skull and arm fractures were treated as an emergency at Brigham Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, where Gregory remains hospitalized. Due to the fractures in the skull, one of the bones pierced a part of the brain which thankfully did not affect the motor centers. However, this brain injury and the reconstruction of part of the skull will make Gregory's rehabilitation process a bit longer, as many basic activities will have to be learned again. My son was living in a rented room and had no family in the United States at the time of the accident. I, his mother, traveled urgently to be by his side and support him in this difficult time. There is a lot of uncertainty at the moment and some anguish because the rehabilitation process will not be covered by medical insurance. Any financial help that you can donate will be greatly appreciated by the whole family and especially by Gregory. In God we trust.

NOTE: Due to Gofundme technical limitations, the beneficiary has to have a Social Security Number (SSN) in order to transfer funds to a US bank account. Because neither I nor my son have a SSN, I decided to use Denise Rincon as a temporary beneficiary to facilitate the transfer of the money immediately.

Mi nombre es Nilliret Yaime Gonzalez y he dicidido abrir esta página de GOFUNDME para recaudar fondos para ayudar con la asistencia en el proceso de recuperación de mi adorado y único hijo, Gregory Yaime Salazar de 29 años quien llegó a Massachusetts el pasado mes de enero del 2023 para cumplir su sueño de estudiar inglés y seguir formándose profesionalmente pero lamentablemente fue victima de un accidente de carro. Mi hijo fue atropellado el pasado 22 de Marzo del 2023 y a consecuencia del accidente sufrió de múltiples fracturas en el cráneo, brazo izquierdo y costillas. Las fracturas en el cráneo y brazo fueron tratadas de emergencia en el Brigham Women’s Hospital en Boston, Massachusetts donde Gregory continua hospitalizado. Producto de las fracturas en el cráneo, uno de los huesitos perforó una parte del cerebro la cual gracias a Dios no impactó los centros motores. Sin embargo, esta herida en el cerebro y la reconstrucción de parte del cráneo hará que Gregory tenga un proceso de rehabilitación un poco largo ya que muchas de las actividades básicas tendrán que ser aprendidas nuevamente. Mi hijo se encontraba viviendo en una habitación alquilada y no tenía familiares en los Estados Unidos en el momento del accidente. Yo, su mamá, viajé emergencia para estar a su lado y apoyarlo en este momento tan difícil.

Hay muchísima incertidumbre en estos momentos y un poco de angustia porque el proceso de rehabilitación no estará cubierto por el seguro médico. Cualquier ayuda económica que ustedes puedan donarnos será sumamente apreciada por toda la familia y especialmente por Gregory. En Dios confiamos.

NOTA IMPORTANTE: Debido a las limitaciones técnicas del Gofundme, el beneficiario tiene que tener un número de seguro social para poder recibir la transferencia del dinero recaudado a una cuenta de banco en los Estados Unidos. Hemos decidido buscar el apoyo de Denise Rincon para que figure de beneficiaria temporal para poder tener la transferencia de los fondos por medio de ella, porque tanto mi hijo (Gregory Salazar) como mi persona (Nilliret Yaime Gonzalez) no tenemos un seguro social en los Estados Unidos.
