Help Greta Essraowi with Medical and Hospice Care

- Hello, my name is Kaled Essraowi and my wife Greta Essraowi was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer in early April of 2023 after the attempted performance of a hysterectomy which was stopped once the discovery of cancer was made. After some days in the hospital, we started cancer treatment with 25 sessions of external radiation and 6 sessions of internal radiation (called rakee therapy) alongside chemotherapy for 5 weeks. The treatment was completed in late June of 2023. After the treatment, we had approximately 3 months of follow-ups to check if she is in remission or not. So, in early November of 2023, we discovered cancer activity was occurring by the right-side lymph node between groin and hip area which has placed her at stage 4 cervical cancer and now we moved quickly to a different type of chemo and immunotherapy.
- While in the process of new treatment, the cancer began causing other health issues, like blocking her right ureter which required for her to have a nephrostomy performed in the right kidney. Additionally, a 6-inch blood clot was forming in the right main vein which had to be surgically removed and a stint with filter was placed to prevent further clots from going to her lungs. Moreover, the mass also engulfed the main nerve which caused unbelievable pain. And lastly, what has happened was an intestinal rupture which has caused all types of health problems because of complications and is what has caused her to be in hospice care.
