Help Grey Walk Again
Donation protected
Hi everyone, we are reaching out and asking for help with our little girl, Grey. Grey is an adventurous, loving 3 year old little frenchie that would shower kisses to anyone (or pup) she came in contact with. Her personality is larger than life and she steals the hearts and minds of everyone she comes in contact with.
Thursday morning, our little princess was a healthy, happy, bone-chewing pup. Thursday evening, Grey wasn’t capable of greeting me at the door in her usual manner and we knew something was wrong. Being a frenchie, she is uniquely susceptible to herniated discs. Now after going through x-rays and an MRI, we know that Grey has two, one closer to her rib cage in the middle of her spine and one further down in her lower lumbar. She cannot walk or use her hind legs but she can feel pain in her toes and is clearly in a great deal of pain. There is a 60% chance of her walking again after surgery because in her current state, her mind isn’t cognitively recognizing the back half of her body. Her bladder will need to be manually suppressed after surgery among other things and the road to recovery will be long.
She is a fireball full of love that deserves the best care, therapy, a rear support wheelchair and ongoing treatment after surgery. This all being said, it is a cost that takes our breathe away. The surgery alone with all tests exceeds $12,000 and then we need to worry about post op therapy. We are not one to ask for help, but Grey deserves this chance at the best possible option to have a normal life again. Please even if you cannot contribute, please keep her in your prayers for a full recovery so that she will be walking again by the time she turns 4 in November. Thank you ❤️
