Help Guarda Rios Ecovillage Flourish

Here at Guarda Rios Ecovillage we want to take the next step forward into a sustainable and healthy future on all levels.

We are raising funds to start and continue

So how exactly will this money be used?

a) ongoing payments for the land

b) buying forest, fruit and nut trees as well as irrigation pipes and water tanks

c) designing, planning and building swales, ponds, lakes

d) improving existing facilities and building new ones

e) continue setting up events spaces (and visitor facilities)

f) setting up an alternative schooling project with child friendly facilities and education materials

This project is located in central Portugal near the Serra da Estrela mountains on a beautiful 24ha property, bordering the Mondego river. A cooperative has been established and there are three resident members and a circle of friends and volunteers supporting on site, online or financially.
