Help Guerneville Businesses Survive Sidewalk Construction
Donation protected
Our beloved Guerneville Main Street businesses are facing an unexpected challenge as Caltrans upgrades pedestrian facilities along State Route 116. While these infrastructure improvements will ultimately benefit our community, the immediate impact is putting a significant strain on our local business owners.
The Challenge
Starting last summer, Caltrans began essential work to improve sidewalks, replace traffic signals, and add pedestrian safety features along Highway 116 between River Road and 4th Street.
Unfortunately, this construction is forcing businesses to completely close their doors for up to a week during critical work phases. Even when open, barricades and parking restrictions are severely limiting foot traffic and customer access.
Why Your Help Matters Now
This shutdown couldn't come at a worse time as our businesses are just emerging from the lean winter months. Now, just as they should be building momentum toward the busy tourist season, they're faced with closures and reduced customer access.
How Your Donation Helps
Every dollar contributed to this fund will directly support the affected Main Street businesses in Guerneville. Funds will be distributed equally among all businesses impacted by the construction, providing a financial lifeline for enduring this challenging period.
Join Us in Celebration
When the dust settles and our sidewalks are beautifully upgraded, we'll come together to celebrate our community's resilience! Mark your calendars for May 3rd when we'll host a special street fair and market celebrating both the improved infrastructure and the strength of our local business community.
Your contribution today helps ensure our unique local businesses will still be standing to serve you when the barricades come down. When our community stands together to support our local shops, restaurants, and services, we all benefit. Let's ensure they can weather this storm through our unified support.
Thank you for supporting the heart of our community!
