Help Gunner through his Injury

Hey guys, my name is Liz, and the beautiful boy in that photo is our wonderful dog, Gunner. He is a little over a year, and he has changed our lives in the most wonderful ways. A few weeks ago, Gunner sustained an injury while playing fetch, and ever since then, he has been having pain, trouble walking on his right side and back legs, and this weekend he began having head and neck tremors. We have spent countless hours and sleepless nights in multiple ER’s, all of which told us X-rays weren’t necessary, that he possibly had a neurological issue, and sent us home. He continued to have constant struggles with pain, weakness, and even became lethargic on Sunday. On Monday I begged our primary vet to do an X-ray insisting he is in pain and we finally had the X-rays today. We were told he has a severe slipped disc in his neck, near his brain stem. Any slight movement of his neck could have snapped his spinal cord, and the vet even told us we were lucky our dog is still alive. He referred us to a neurologist, and as soon as we couldn’t get an appointment right away, we had to rush him to the Animal Hospital, where he is currently admitted. We are waiting for doctors to read the X-ray copies, and make a referral to their neurologist so he can be seen immediately in the morning. We were told he may need an MRI, and that he will more than likely need surgery to fix the slipped disc. We’ve handled a lot of these bills by ourselves, but being referred to a specialist, admitted into the Animal Hospital, and needing surgery, is incredibly expensive. If you guys can financially help in any way you can, we would greatly appreciate it. If not, we totally understand. Any thoughts and prayers we can get are totally appreciated.
